We are seeking an enthusiastic, forward-thinking colleague with energy, intellectual capacity and determination to support the leadership of our successful English Department and make a difference to the lives, aspirations and opportunities of our young people. This is a full-time role to cover maternity leave from September 2025.
To be successful, you will be an experienced teacher with specialist knowledge of English and a commitment to ongoing professional development. With a positive attitude and resilient nature, you will enrich the learning of our students with your engaging and challenging lessons.
The award-winning English Department at Chatham Grammar achieves excellent results. Our friendly, welcoming and experienced department are keen enthusiasts for extra-curricular activities and encourage students to write as a passion and to see how English can inform their everyday lives. The department also benefits from the Trust’s links with the University of Kent.
