Job Introduction Heritage Portfolio are currently looking for a talented and passionate Food Service Assistant - Barista to join their team at the cafe located in V&A Dundee. This is a great opportunity for individuals who are looking to succeed in a fast and innovative catering facility. What Is In For You 4 Hours per week. Casual contract so flexibility within the role £12.00 per hour Predominantly day shifts but some evenings as required 5 out of 7 days per week Full training provided Frequent transport links within a short walk Main Responsibilities Promote a friendly and welcoming atmosphere to benefit both the company and the guests. Prepare and serve freshly ground coffee to the standards Ensure tables are kept clean at all times and that condiments are well stocked. Help answer questions and make suggestions regarding food and beverage choices and related items. The Ideal Candidate Previous experience in a similar role would be ideal, but if you have excellent people skills, we’d still love to hear from you Barista experience would be great but not essential. A positive and approachable attitude is a must, as this is a customer facing role. Being the first face many of our visitors will see, you’ll be a role model when it comes to what a great service will look like. We want you to bring your great communication skills, strong teamwork ethos and a positive can-do attitude Being a team player is really important, but you’ll also need to be able to work well on your own.
