To provide leadership of the event management team. Offering effective and clear leadership of the team, ensuring individual and team performance standards remain central whilst delivering on all health and safety processes and procedures. Provide the framework for all KPI’s to be delivered that align with the Arenas business strategic plan and objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Assert through strong leadership the continual development of the Event Management team, emphasising and maintaining effective team and performance standards in line with venue culture, strategic business unit and department objectives and company policies and procedures.
* Ensure all Event teams proactively provide and follow due process and procedure of event planning and event safety documentation, adhering to current legislative requirements, company guidelines and local arrangements, liaising with organisers and promoter representatives.
* Ensure all events deliver against the EM’s commercial objectives for both back and front of house.
* Deliver and lead an event planning and delivery framework, which delivers on both internal and external expectations.
* Work with other senior operational leaders to deliver a coherent command and control strategy, ensuring all event managers can deliver on event night.
* Perform as a point of escalation for promoters whilst ensuring the team are delivering on the expected timelines for advancing and delivering all shows.
* Proactively engage with the wider Event services team and venue departments, building positive, effective, and robust working relationships to guarantee a collaborative approach and consistent team effort.
* To be available to undertake the successful planning and duty management of concerts and events within the Arenas if required by the Senior Event Managers.
* Working closely with Health and Safety colleagues, proactively contribute toward critical reviews of emergency, safety, and security procedures, based on expertise and knowledge of the Arenas buildings and event operations.
* Maintain, update, and communicate strategic planning of department expectations relating to the continuity of essential service processes in line with the group and arenas business recovery plan (BARP).
* Ensure that all customer accessible requirements are delivered at each event which includes the delivery of any BSL requirements.
* Participate in the Arenas Senior Management silver duty roster.
* Deputise for the Operations Director on request.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
* Demonstrate outstanding experience in managing large events.
* Understand entertainment / stadia / arena security and crowd management.
* Commercially astute with sound financial management skills.

* Positive relationship building with police and professional bodies.

* Ideally hold H&S Qualification/s such as NEBOSH General Certificate, NVQ L4 Spectator Safety.
Demonstrate a critical understanding of the Safety at Sports Grounds (Green Guide) Guidance and Purple Guide.
Understand the Construction, Design & Management (CDM) Regulations 2015.
