Job Description:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a school setting. Your primary responsibility will be to assist the SENCo (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) and classroom teachers in implementing individual education plans and providing tailored support to SEN students.
Job Duties:
* Supporting SEN students in their learning activities
* Assisting with the implementation of individual education plans
* Providing one-to-one support to students with SEN
* Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
* Collaborating with teachers and other professionals to meet the diverse needs of SEN students
* Monitoring and reporting on student progress
* Assisting with personal care and medical needs, if required
Required Qualifications:
* Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths
* Relevant experience working with SEN students
* Understanding of SEN support strategies
Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
* Experience in a similar role within an educational setting
* Knowledge of SEN provisions and best practises
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team
* Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
Preferred Qualifications:
* Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools
* Training in safeguarding and first aid
Working Conditions:
You will be working in a school environment, following the school term calendar. The role may require occasional additional hours to attend meetings or support school events. You will have access to training and development opportunities to enhance your skills in supporting SEN students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
