This school is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 4 Teaching Assistant to support the learning and development of students in our Year 4 class. This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside a dynamic teaching team and help shape students’ academic and personal growth in a supportive and inclusive environment. This role begins March 2025.
Duties as a Year 4 Teaching Assistant:
* Support the class teacher in delivering the Key Stage 2 curriculum to Year 4 students
* Provide one-to-one and small group support to students, especially those with additional learning needs or who need extra assistance
* Help with the preparation of learning resources and classroom activities
* Assist with classroom management and ensure a safe and engaging learning environment
* Observe and monitor students’ progress, providing feedback to the teacher
* Support students with social, emotional, and personal development
* Assist in the supervision of students during break times, lunchtimes, and other activities
* Work collaboratively with the teacher and other support staff to meet the needs of all students
Ideal Year 4 Teaching Assistant:
* Have experience working with primary-aged children in a school or nursery setting
* Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) – desirable but not essential
* Be patient, caring, and committed to supporting children’s development
* Have a good understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum
* Be proactive, flexible, and able to work effectively as part of a team as a Year 4 Teaching Assistant.
* Have strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents
