We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team on a 6-month fixed-term contract, working on the Stoke Schools PFI Contract. This is an exciting opportunity to work across 88 sites, carrying out a range of fabric maintenance duties to ensure all work is completed to the highest standards. Key Responsibilities: As a Multi-skilled Maintenance Operative, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of fabric works across multiple sites. Your responsibilities will include: Planned Maintenance : Carry out planned maintenance on fabric assets such as windows, fire doors, ironmongery, passive fire protection, roofing, and gutters. Reactive Maintenance : Undertake minor repair works, including door/window furniture, carpentry, flooring, roofing, painting & decorating, and more. Minor Works : Complete minor installations and repairs in line with trade qualifications. Health & Safety : Always work in a safe, conscientious manner, conducting risk assessments and adhering to Safe Systems of Working (SSOW). Reporting & Updates : Provide regular updates on work orders to the helpdesk, ensuring accurate documentation is completed for all works. Collaboration : Work alongside the in-house Stoke Schools engineering team to deliver high-quality maintenance services. What We’re Looking For: Qualifications : A formal apprenticeship in a relevant City & Guilds Trade Craft. Experience : Previous experience in building fabric repairs and maintenance. Health & Safety : Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and risk assessment procedures. Licensing : A full, clean driving license is essential; IPAF (MEWP) qualification is desirable. DBS Check : Enhanced DBS clearance is required to work on-site (dependent on passing clearance). Skills : Highly motivated, customer-focused, and collaborative with a strong attention to detail and quality. Why This Role?
