Job Title: Mechanical Assembler Location: Cambridge Contract: 6 months (potential for extension) Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Thursday (07:15 to 15:45), Friday (07:15 to 12:15) Pay: £19.12/hour (PAYE) or £26.04/hour (Umbrella) We are recruiting experienced Mechanical Assemblers to join a leading engineering company working on specialist projects for deployable infrastructure. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-quality builds and project delivery. About You: Experienced Mechanical Assembly Fitter. Must have previous assembly experience gained within engineering & manufacturing. Ability to use hand tools such as spanners, screw drivers, torque wrenches & electric power tools. Competent in understand aerospace standards. Good technical knowledge Ability to read assembly drawings & instructions Key Responsibilities: Assemble and build projects using engineering drawings and design data. Experience in mechanical fitting, assembly preferably in automotive or heavy industry. Ability to read and work from engineering drawings and technical designs. Must be able to use hand tools such as spanners, screw drivers, torque wrenches and electric power tools. Support production managers in meeting deadlines and maintaining budget requirements. Take part in continuous improvement initiatives, including lean manufacturing and 5S processes. Ensure all equipment and tooling needs are identified and reported. Attend production meetings when required. Due to the nature of the work, candidates must be eligible for BPSS Clearance. Must be able to provide 3 years of employment history.
