Car allowance £2,140 per annum.
This will be a hybrid role with regular travel to our sites and suppliers in and around Newcastle under Lyme.
Exciting times are ahead at Aspire Housing who have just embarked on a major transformation project to redesign our in-house maintenance service. This role will be key in the success of the transformation project and will be initially based in the transformation team and then move to the delivery team mid-2025.
We have an opportunity for an experienced supply chain manager to oversee the strategic maintenance material supply contracts for the organisation, ensuring robust contract and performance management. You will manage the process and controls of material usage and costs as well ensuring that the right products are available to meet the operational needs of the business whilst ensuring value for money and full transparency of costs. You will have experience of identifying improvements and setting up new processes and systems to streamline the purchasing operation, as well as experience of high-volume catalogue management.
We're looking for an individual who has managed supply contracts, ideally within the social housing sector. With good contract management experience, you'll demonstrate good financial and commercial acumen. You'll have a successful track record of negotiating with external stakeholders and working with internal teams to ensure effective contract management. You'll be conversant with procurement methodologies and techniques.
You will need to hit the ground running; ideally, you will have experience within the building maintenance industry.
