Seeking a registrar in general medicine for a full time contract commencing January 2025, or earlier, in a 308 bed public sector hospital in the centre of the North Island of New Zealand. This training post, RACP accredited for basic and advanced training. Position Highlights: High-level support and training from experienced consultants and senior medical staff Opportunities to teach and mentor junior doctors (SHOs) and medical students, contributing to their professional development. General ward work to further broaden your clinical skills and experience. Undertake clinics under appropriate supervision to enhance your skills and proficiency Participate in general ward work to provide comprehensive patient care Collaborate with consultants and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Fulfill after-hours on-call duties aligned with the consultant’s roster, with appropriate support provided. On call is one in five nights and weekends. Professional Requirements Eligible for general or provisional general registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand PGY3 level of experience A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience.
