Successful manufacturer requires a Stores Team Leader. Applicants should have experience within a Stores or Warehouse environment, possess leadership skills, and knowledge of goods receipt, inventory/stock control, and kiting processes.
The Stores Team Leader will be responsible for mentoring and motivating a small team, supporting management in the implementation of LEAN processes, and providing the business with effective stores management, stock control, and kitting functions.
Specific duties of the Stores Team Leader entail:
1. Lead, motivate, and develop stores across warehouse, stock control, and goods receipt tasks.
2. Lead stock take, perpetual inventory, stock profiling, and cycle count activities whilst investigating discrepancies.
3. Be responsible for issuing Kanban cards to suppliers.
4. Ensure the production line is fed with appropriate levels of materials to meet production plans.
5. Drive a culture of continuous improvement and LEAN thinking.
Stores Team Leader applicants should meet the following criteria:
1. Previous experience in a Stores or Warehouse.
2. Leadership skills and abilities.
3. IT skills in relation to managing stock and inventory levels.
4. Previous experience within a manufacturing or engineering business would be advantageous.
5. Knowledge of LEAN processes around stores, warehousing, and stock/inventory control is desirable.
