Why is the role important?
As a Regional Housing Services Officer, you will work across multiple local authority areas to deliver a high-quality, effective cross-tenure housing management service. You will ensure that customers and communities are at the heart of our service delivery approach. By collaborating with internal colleagues and external partners, you will achieve positive outcomes for our customers and ensure tenancy sustainability.
What’s involved?
1. Manage cross tenancy management issues across multiple local authorities collaboratively, including customer contacts, agreeing action plans, early intervention, investigation, information gathering, record maintenance, and customer correspondence.
2. Ensure that empty homes are allocated quickly and effectively without compromising quality.
3. Identify vulnerable customers, agree on reasonable adjustments to service delivery, and refer them to appropriate support agencies and services as needed.
4. Safeguard customers by recognising signs of abuse, report through the correct channels, and appropriately follow up on reports.
5. Recognise when tenancy enforcement is appropriate to resolve an issue, support subsequent legal action, prepare cases with legal professionals, and attend court.
6. Manage social rent, market rent, and Rent to Buy properties and contribute to the organisation’s subsidiary, R-Haus Living Limited.
7. Deliver excellent service to customers reporting anti-social behaviour, take clear and concise statements, and ensure accurate record keeping.
8. Ensure Equality, diversity & Inclusion is at the forefront of all decisions, inclusive language is used consistently and we celebrate differences.
9. Ensure all Health and Safety issues identified are reported and appropriate learning where required is shared.
