We're on the lookout for an experienced SEND Learning Support Assistant to join our vibrant and welcoming mainstream primary schools in Romford. This is an amazing chance to work with children who have a variety of SEN needs and help them reach their full potential.
As a key member of the team, you'll play an essential role in creating a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment where children can thrive both academically and emotionally. Your key responsibilities will include:
* Providing 1:1 support and working with small groups of SEN children to help them achieve their learning goals.
* ✏️ Supporting academic tasks and encouraging students to engage with the curriculum in fun and creative ways.
* Demonstrating strong behavioural management skills to maintain a calm and focused classroom.
* ️ Using resources (e.g., visual aids, tech tools) to help students understand and actively participate in lessons.
We’re looking for someone who:
* Has a positive, can-do attitude and a deep passion for supporting SEND students.
* ♀️ Loves working collaboratively and enjoys being part of a dynamic team of teachers and support staff.
* Can quickly adapt and respond to the needs of students in the classroom.
* Has previous SEND experience and a solid understanding of how to support diverse learning needs.
* Holds a valid DBS and is ready to start making an impact right away!

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
