Student Wellbeing and Inclusivity is seeking a full time Disability Advisor to provide information, advice and guidance to students with a range of disabilities including long term health conditions, visual impairment, neurodiversity and physical disabilities, whilst specialising in D/deafness.
The successful applicant will join a well-established, dedicated and passionate advisory team currently working a hybrid pattern of remote via MS Teams and on campus (a minimum 4 months initial training will be done full time on campus).
Applicants must be fluent in British Sign language, able to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team, confident in multi-tasking and time managing a varied workload. They will have a thorough understanding of the responsibilities of Higher Education Institutions regarding The Equality Act 2010 alongside a commitment to inclusive practice and the Social Model of disability.
