Job Purpose Manage the production finance duties of the labels within the Scripted Hub. This will include all aspects for projects at forecast, development, prep & wrap stages as well as working closely with and supporting the freelance accounts teams through production. Duties Scripted Developments Report monthly development spend to Head of production / MDs. Set up all developments in PMI, process & pay purchase invoices and raise sales invoices as required for funded developments. Working with HOP to manage early prep & budgeting of shows, as well as cashflow and any other requirements from broadcasters. Pre-Production Work with Production and Business Affairs team to set up new SPV’s. Ensure VAT/PAYE registrations are complete, bank accounts set up. Set up divisions and projects in PMI. Oversee UK tax calculations for HETV projects. Liaise with auditors throughout the process. Work with Production team to complete BFI applications. Ensure cashflows and recovery schedules are completed. Assist Head of Finance with external financing processes. Process & pay production invoices. Ensure funding invoices are sent to Broadcasters in a timely manner. Production Support Production Accountants throughout production period to answer any queries and source any assistance / additional support where required. Ensure Regionality and UK Tax groupings are up to date and check reports periodically throughout production. Raise Sales invoices to Broadcasters etc as required. Recharge production costs from parent to SPV as required. Save down Cost reports for month end. Visit productions on location. Post Production Manage the HETV tax audit process. Work with production accountant and auditors to complete interim and final audits Oversee post-production and clean-up of production once freelance accountant has finished. Other Duties Report weekly cash requirements to UK treasury team. Raise payment lists for weekly payment runs. Check month end reports from production accountants. Manage monthly cashflow forecast process for UK treasury team. Post month end journals / invoices as required Monthly production balance sheet review. Assist Head of Finance with label forecast and budget process and any other ad hoc tasks and requirements Knowledge & Skills Experience of production accounting essential with a knowledge of HETV Tax Credits Good knowledge of television industry standard practices. Experience of using PMI accounting system not essential but preferred. Understanding of production payroll process preferred Strong excel skills. Previous Line Management experience preferred. A sense of initiative and willingness to take on responsibility. Proven organisational skills and good attention to detail.
