JOB SUMMARY:
We’re looking for a talented midweight Experiential/Creative Designer with a strong background in Graphic Design to create immersive, impactful brand experiences.
In this role, you will blend your design expertise with creative storytelling to shape environments, events, installations, and retail experiences that captivate audiences and bring brands to life.
You will report to the Head of Design and collaborate with the Project Management and Production teams to work across various projects - from event designs and pop-up bars to brand activations and graphic design assets.

Made Up is a full-service Creative Production House. We are a dynamic team of designers, project managers, and makers. We pride ourselves on managing every aspect of the brief in-house. From creative concept and design to construction, build and installation (and everything else in between), we take care of the entire lifecycle of a project.
With over 20 years of experience working with the world's biggest brands, we have delivered thousands of events, pop-up bars, brand activations, live events and retail design. We have worked with clients like British Airways, BBC, Google, Netflix, Facebook, Bentley, Apple, YouTube, Amazon, Prada, Tag Heuer and many more.
Our offices and production facilities are housed under one roof, allowing all departments to work collaboratively on a brief. You will work closely with Project Managers and the production teams to bring your designs to life. You'll have the opportunity to see the project moving through our workshops and be able to speak with carpenters, print specialists, scenic painters, the tech team and installation managers.
For this reason, this position is office based, and you'll need to be able to work from our Studio in Beckenham, South East London.
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Interior Design, Spatial Design or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in experiential or Graphic Design, with a strong portfolio showcasing these design skills.
• Proficiency in Design Software: Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign. Additional experience with Keynote and 3D software (SketchUp, Vectorworks) is a plus.
• Understanding of Production Processes: familiarity with printing, knowledge of materials, fabrication methods, and installation processes
• Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills to ensure high-quality deliverables that align with project objectives and timelines. A meticulous eye for Colour, Typography and Lay out trends.
• Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and great ability to present and articulate ideas.
• Collaborative Mindset: Team player who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and is open to feedback and growth.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Conceptual Design and Ideation: develop original concepts for experiential projects, combining storytelling with engaging visual assets.
• Presentation: Create inspiring mood boards, premium templates and elevated decks to showcase projects and clearly communicate concepts that align with the brand’s strategy and vision.
• Graphic Design and Artwork: Utilize your strong graphic design skills to create visually compelling artwork, graphics and assets, such as signage, prints, mock-ups and displays.
• Excellent Layout and Typography skills: Strong understanding of composition, colour, illustration and Typography.
• Brand Alignment: Ensure all designs are aligned with the client’s brand guidelines, tone of voice and visual identity.
• Production Oversight: Work closely with project managers and production team to ensure that artwork and graphics are produced with great attention to detail and to the highest standards.
