We have several exciting opportunities for highly motivated and innovative HR Professionals to join our dynamic Employee Relations team. If you are passionate about creating positive change and making a meaningful impact on both staff experience and patient care, we would love to hear from you.
Following a recent restructuring within Operational HR, we are in a transformative phase, offering several opportunities to grow and shape the future of our HR services. Our employee relations function plays a pivotal role in supporting the Trust’s strategic objectives, ensuring we are recognised as both a great place to work and the employer of choice in our community.
Working within a fast-paced hospital setting, you will support a diverse workforce, including clinical and non-clinical teams, helping to create a positive, supportive, and highly performing workplace.
We are looking for proactive, knowledgeable, and committed HR Professionals who can drive this vision forward. The role is instrumental in delivering a high-quality HR service, supporting staff across the organisation to achieve meaningful outcomes aligned with the Trust’s values so they can continue to provide outstanding care to our patients.
We operate a hybrid model of on-site and home working.
Locations: Cross site - Royal Bournemouth Hospital and Poole Hospital
Interview Date: TBC
As our HR Manager, you’ll work closely with the Head of Employee Relations and HR Business Partner to ensure our ER team provides a proactive, efficient, and fair service for managers and staff. This will include the provision of expert advice and guidance on aspects of employment law and best practice, as well as the interpretation and application of employment Terms and Conditions, Policies, and National directives. You will be responsible for managing employee relations caseloads, including supporting complex grievances, disciplinary, attendance management, civility, and performance cases.
Responsible for the management and development of Senior HR Advisors and HR Advisors, you will provide leadership and drive continuous improvement by empowering, motivating, and inspiring the team to deliver.
Our values define who we are as #TeamUHD. They underpin everything we do now and in the future. They define how we treat our patients, visitors, and each other, our valued teammates, and colleagues.
UHD is investing in services across the Trust, with many being transformed and developed following the merger and the New Hospital Programme. This means that some services may move site this year or next, either temporarily or long term. Recruiting Managers interviewing for this role will be happy to answer any specific questions that you have about this at the interview.
As a flexible working friendly organisation, we want to be sure that you can work in a way that is best for us, our patients, and for you. Speak to us about how we might be able to accommodate a flexible working arrangement. If it works for the service, we will do our best to make it work for you.
