Exciting opportunity for a creative individual to join our team of Kitchen Designers in our hub in Avonmouth, Bristol.
Working in our contracts division you will be expected to work with our contract managers to design kitchens for volume business. This can include housing associations, construction/new builds and developers etc.
This position isn’t a sales role therefore we do not offer commission. As a creative and confident designer you will work with our internal contracts managers, listen to the needs of our customer and from that design the most suitable and cost effective volume kitchens needed.
What will I be doing as a Kitchen Designer?
1. Working with our Regional Contracts Managers you will design and quote kitchens that meet the business customer needs, specifications and timescales
2. Read through tender enquiries to produce high quality and accurate kitchens that match the business customer specification
3. Support the office in the effort to achieve targets, particularly with regards to output, efficiency and turnaround time
4. Process accurate estimates to the kitchen plans and design specification
5. Produce tender packs using Excel
6. Amend designs to meet customers’ needs and find commercial solutions to challenges
7. Develop commercial and product awareness to continue to produce cost-effective solutions
What do I need to qualify for this role?
8. Ideally someone with experience using CAD
9. The ability to deliver within budget and strict time restraints
10. Be commercially astute with an understanding of high-volume contract requirements
11. Experience of producing high volume accurate kitchen designs and estimates
12. Competent in using Excel with an understanding of basic Excel formulas
13. Ability to communicate and influence effectively at all levels, both verbally and in writing
14. Experience in producing creative and innovative kitchen designs for a multitude of end-users including commercial, industrial and disabilities
15. Ability to problem solve under pressure
16. Strong planning and organisation skills
17. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with excellent attention to detail
18. Self-starter who is flexible, approachable and a team player
19. This position will suit someone starting their career in a design role or maybe taking a career change with CAD skills and a passion for design.
