Barker Munro Recruitment Ltd is delighted to be working with this dynamic and highly professional organisation to recruit a Claims Graduate/Case Support Officer to work within the niche team assisting with the Freight Forwarding/Goods in Transit Account.
We require candidates who are seeking to either broaden insurance knowledge and want the opportunity to develop their careers within the insurance industry, be it in Claims, Recoveries, or Surveying capacity. We see this as an entry-level “supporting” position with a view to future career development within the company. Alternatively, the suitable candidate will be someone seeking their first (or second) role within the Insurance Industry and/or possibly a graduate or school leaver.
With full support and training, you will provide support with general administrative duties and company marketing initiatives, providing support to the Claims, Recoveries, and Surveying teams. You will assist the case handlers with their caseload on a day-to-day basis, which includes:
1. Acting as the first point of contact with the client
2. Acknowledging incoming instructions
3. Opening/closing and updating case files and the claim reserves via the company’s claims management system
4. Training to deal with Bordereaux management and reporting
5. Communicating with clients, underwriters, surveyors, brokers, lawyers, and other third parties on a daily basis
Essential Skills
• Proficient to a basic level of MS Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Excellent communication skills – verbal and written
• Experience in dealing with customers/clients
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• A positive and pro-active individual who is career-minded and keen to learn.
