Brief Outline Our client, an industry leading company in the Fire Protection market, is on the lookout for an ambitious Passive Fire Protection Sales/Business Development Manager to help grow their Passive Fire Protection division, procuring business throughout the London and South East area. About our Client Our client is a well-established Fire Protection contractor operating for over 20 years. They have undertaken various projects within the Local Authority Housing, Education, Healthcare sectors, amongst other areas. About the Role: • Reporting directly to the Director and working closely with the Passive Fire Divisional Manager to deliver the company’s annual targets and growth strategy. • The development and growth of the Passive Fire/Structural Fire protection within the business. • Prospecting new market opportunities through referrals, marketing, personal development, cold calling, canvassing, inbound lead follows-up and tender opportunities. • Delivering and maintaining the highest level of performance for customer installation and service delivery. • Attending sales appointments with a view to selling all the Company’s products and services • Dealing directly or via the account manager for existing customer requirements. • Developing successful national sales opportunities to the required level. • Constant attainment and over-achievement of agreed targets • Collating appropriate information and ensuring all correct documentation is utilised. • The preparation, full provision of design quotations to ensure clients deadlines are achieved. • Working closely with the estimating team on pricing of work • Costing & Technical support to the BIDS team as required. • Providing reports as required • Being continually aware of the changes in legislation & product development. • Completion of and attendance at Authority to Submit Tender Meetings (ATS Meetings) for projects over a predetermined value. • Completion of a first review of your customer’s terms and conditions, highlighting areas of concern About the Candidate: • In-depth knowledge of the passive fire industry, with fire protection product selling experience • Possess a solid commercial acumen • A good understanding of all the relevant industry standards codes of practice. • The ability to work on your own initiative and to make the right decisions as required. • Good knowledge in the use of Microsoft 365 applications • Good verbal and written communication skills • Excellent problem-solving skills • Strong customer service ethos • Capable of working effectively under pressure in a deadline driven environment • Exhibit a high degree of professionalism and resilience. • Excellent communicator • Strong people skills • Resilience and flexibility Points of Appeal: • Competitive salary, package and KPI performance bonus • Company vehicle or car allowance • Passive Fire Projects to head up and run with upon starting Full autonomy within the role you are entrusted with
