Plan and deliver lessons that foster critical thinking, analytical skills, and social awareness, utilizing a variety of teaching methods and resources, including sociological theories, research methods, and case studies. Assess student progress through essays, presentations, and research projects, providing detailed feedback to support their development. Contribute to the development of the Sociology curriculum, integrating current sociological trends and social justice issues, and participate in departmental planning. Organize and lead sociological debates, research projects, and community engagement activities, promoting student engagement and social responsibility. Ideal Candidate: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong Sociology subject knowledge, including sociological theories, research methods, and social justice issues. Demonstrated experience teaching Sociology to A-Level, with a focus on both theoretical concepts and research skills. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students. Commitment to fostering critical thinking and social awareness.
