ABOUT THE JOB
Due to our increased workload, we are looking to grow our QS/CM team. Based from our Poole office, the successful candidate will assist with commercial work for all projects assigned to them. In a typical week they might assist with:
1. Preparing and submitting valuations
2. Certifying subcontract/supplier payments
3. Preparing Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs) and accruals
4. Placing material orders
5. Attending weekly internal coordination meetings
6. Preparing and issuing monthly contractor reports
7. Collating RFIs and CSIs
8. Maintaining health and safety standards
9. Providing input to the weekly labour meeting
Across all our projects, the goal is to deliver on time, to profit, and with zero snags.
ABOUT YOU
The successful candidate will:
1. Demonstrate an understanding of the Contracts Management and/or Quantity Surveying processes and procedures.
2. Provide examples of work experience relevant to the role.
3. Be educated to Degree/HND level/equivalent.
4. Have experience within a contracts management/quantity surveying role, which would be a distinct advantage but is not essential.
5. Have knowledge of various building contracts including JCT contracts, which would be a distinct advantage.
6. Be dynamic, innovative, and able to work on one’s own initiative.
7. Be a strong communicator and a good team player who is not afraid to get involved.
8. Have excellent planning and organisational skills.
9. Have the ability to work with clients, design team professionals, and subcontractors.
