We are seeking a Financial Reporting Specialist to enhance our financial reporting and compliance operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our processes. Day-to-day of the role: Ensure timely preparation and submission of UK and Overseas legal entity statutory reporting and tax returns, adhering to local GAAP/IFRS and other reporting standards. Regulatory and compliance reports & surveys, and support for cost centre budget preparation and monitoring. Complete VAT returns and prepare the corresponding paperwork for payment. Establish and manage strong relationships with key internal stakeholders, external auditors, and external tax advisors, and coordinate audits smoothly. Support the manager with common processes, and other ad hoc projects to drive efficiency and quality improvements within the team. Required Skills & Qualifications: Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, CA, ACCA, or CIMA) with hands-on experience in applying IFRSs for financial reporting. Strong technical understanding of VAT, local GAAP, US GAAP, and IFRS for financial reporting, including knowledge of overseas legislation and requirements. Advanced Excel skills, including pivots and formulas. SAP knowledge is a plus. Proven ability to meet tight deadlines while demonstrating strong teamwork skills. Prior experience in auditing, particularly within large practice firms, would be an advantage.
