Our client are specialists in their manufacturing sector, and they are now looking to recruit a Contracts Manager on a permanent basis.
The Job You'll Do
1. Reporting directly to the Senior Contracts Manager, and based at our northern manufacturing site in Newcastle, the successful candidate is likely to have an engineering background with fabrication experience, preferably of sheet metal.
2. Acting as the main point of contact for clients during the contract stage.
3. Overseeing invoicing/ongoing AFP's during and at the end of a project.
4. Manage end of contract costing reviews.
5. Experience and understanding of site installation work in the construction industry.
6. Experience in the use of SolidWorks and AutoCAD would be advantageous.
7. Full training will be given for carrying out 3D on-site scanning surveys.
8. Capable of producing quotations taken from site surveys and relevant specifications.
9. Capable of producing job packs ready for production.
10. Capable of producing RAMS and safety documentation.
11. A strong commercial background, with experience of measuring and reporting would be beneficial.
12. Strong leader, able to manage internal and sub-contractor relationships.
13. A solution-focused approach to problem-solving, combined with a keen eye for efficiencies and cost savings.
14. Deal with unexpected costs/negotiate project variations.
15. Engage with the installation function throughout the design and manufacturing processes to ensure the maximum amount of planning and consideration for the efficient delivery of the installation process.
About You
1. Experience on site, customer liaising.
2. SolidWorks/AutoCAD experience.
3. Fabrication/sheet metal industry experience.
4. The ability to use your initiative.
5. Must have good verbal communication skills and the ability to liaise and build relationships with clients.
6. Applicants must be flexible and punctual.
