Role Overview:
As Head of Weddings, you’ll be the creative and operational lead on our most iconic events—from concept through execution. This leadership role blends creative direction, strategic planning, client relationship mastery, and team mentorship.
You’ll work with high-net-worth clients, world-class creatives, and international partners to bring unforgettable celebrations to life, defined by elegance, emotion, and artistry.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Experience & Event Strategy
* Serve as the primary point of contact for UHNW clients, ensuring a seamless and personal planning experience
* Lead the full design and planning process for bespoke weddings across global destinations
* Translate visions into meaningful, luxurious experiences that feel both intentional and extraordinary
* Refine the client journey—from first consultation through to post-event wrap-up
Creative Direction & Production Oversight
* Create compelling themes, mood boards, and immersive storylines for each celebration
* Lead creative production in collaboration with stylists, venues, florists, and artists
* Ensure every aesthetic and experiential element reflects our highest standards of taste and quality
Team Leadership & Development
* Manage and mentor planners, freelancers, and event coordinators
* Establish timelines and delegate responsibilities to ensure smooth execution
* Recruit and develop team members who embody the Alice Wilkes standard of excellence
Vendor & Partnership Management
* Cultivate strong relationships with premium suppliers and venues worldwide
* Oversee negotiations and budgets with precision, always balancing creativity and commercial sensibility
* Maintain and grow our exclusive global network of trusted partners
Strategic Growth & Brand Innovation
* Identify new trends and opportunities to elevate our wedding offering
* Collaborate with the marketing and PR teams to share our most impactful work
* Represent Alice Wilkes at international wedding and design expos
What You Bring
* 6+ years in luxury wedding planning or high-end event production
* A track record of delivering exceptional events with budgets of £350K+
* Strong design sensibility and a deep appreciation for elegance and refinement
* Confident leadership and the ability to stay calm under pressure
* Impeccable communication and client relationship skills
* Flexibility to travel and work evenings and weekends when required
* Proficiency in industry-standard tools and systems
* Discretion, diplomacy, and emotional intelligence
Bonus Points
* Fluency in multiple languages
* Experience with destination weddings across the UK, Europe, and the US
* A background in fashion, hospitality, or interior design
