Responsibilities:
* Prepare, cook and present an exceptionally high standard of food in line with standards.
* Follow recipes and presentation specifications.
* Share ideas and suggestions with the Head Chef.
* Supervise, train and encourage more junior members of the team.
* Work as part of a team to ensure a safe yet effective food operation, in compliance with set out health & safety and food hygiene standards.
* Assist with the cleaning and organisation of kitchen and equipment.
* Work with colleagues to complete relevant kitchen paperwork records including temperature checks, delivery checks, cooking records, cleaning checklists and allergen records.
* Restock items as needed throughout the shift.
Experience / Skills of the Chef:
* Previous experience in a busy kitchen environment.
* Food hygiene certification is preferred. You will require good knowledge of food hygiene standards.
* Have a flexible, professional and friendly manner.
* Good organisation and efficiency skills.
Working Hours:
Full-time covering breakfast, lunch and dinners. Includes evenings and weekends on a rota basis. A mix of straight and split shifts.
Job Type:
Permanent. Live-in accommodation while on shift may be available on application.
