We provide support to adults aged 18-65 years old who have learning disabilities and or mental health needs, who live in their own homes around the Birmingham/Solihull area, with most our units in the Acocks Green area.
A brief summary of the tasks involved will include:-
· Supporting service users to maintain the cleanliness of their daily living environments and supporting them with laundry tasks.
· Providing emotional support to our service users when required.
· Supporting service users to prepare their own meals, supporting service users to eat and drink at regular times following a healthy diet or prescribed meal plan, this may include help with feeding.
· Supporting service users with their weekly food shopping, this will include shopping for weekly supplies of food, COSHH and any other household essentials.
· Supporting service users with the safe keeping of their personal effects, budgeting and handling money, withdrawing benefits from their bank, and reporting any concerns to your immediate supervisor.
· You will also be able to take service users on trips and days out, so it’s all about having fun too!
We have positions for full time and part time support workers.
Full time positions require 38 hours per week including 1 sleep-in.
Part time positions vary from 24 hours per week upwards.
Pay rate is £12.31 per hour and sleep-in pay rate is £37.50 per night.
Full time - 2 x 12hr day shifts (8am-8pm) and 1 x 14 hr shift with a sleep-in shift (8am-10pm, paid to sleep in onsite) working 3 days a week and 4 days off throughout the week. Overtime is also available to pick up.
