Are you a highly motivated and experienced English teacher ready to take the next step in your leadership journey? We are looking for a Director of Learning: English to drive exceptional standards in teaching and learning across KS3, KS4, and Post-16.
The Role
As Director of Learning: English, you will:
* Lead the English department, ensuring outstanding teaching and learning across all key stages
* Develop and implement a broad, balanced, and engaging curriculum
* Monitor and enhance student progress, setting ambitious achievement targets
* Manage and deploy resources effectively, including staffing and budgets
* Provide strategic direction, leading self-evaluation and improvement planning
* Support and mentor staff, ensuring high-quality performance across the team
* Embed innovative assessment and learning strategies to raise attainment
* Act as a role model, delivering high-quality teaching and inspiring both students and colleagues
