I am seeking dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager to join a strong sales team at a leading European food packaging business. The Business Development Manager will play a crucial role in driving the growth for the company and will help with the expansion of their client base in the UK.

Location - Worcester
£40,000 - £45,000 (DOE) – OTE £70,000
20% bonus, but uncapped earning potential, Health Care (BUPA), sick pay, 23 days plus bank holidays (25 after 5 years), Life Insurance 4x salary, 5% pension.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute strategic plans to generate new business and expand market share in the protein and meat industries
Identify and pursue new business opportunities while maintaining and nurturing existing customer relationships
Manage a diverse portfolio of small, medium, and large customers, providing them with innovative and eco-designed food packaging solutions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure customer satisfaction and fulfilment of business objectives.
Keep abreast of industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to capitalize on opportunities and mitigate risks.
Day-to-Day
Identify potential clients and initiate contact to introduce our eco-designed food packaging solutions.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored packaging solutions.
Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and participate in industry events and trade shows.
Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals.
Monitor and report on sales activities, market trends, and customer feedback to the management team.
Travel within the UK as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
Required
Proven track record in business development and sales, ideally within the food packaging or related industries.
Strong understanding of the protein and meat industries, with the ability to identify customer needs and tailor solutions accordingly.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet targets in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of sustainability and eco-friendly solutions in food packaging is a plus.
Once a week visit until up to standard.
