Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the procurement process, from strategy development to contract negotiations.
* Optimize costs by identifying opportunities for savings and mitigating risks without compromising quality.
* Evaluate supplier bids and subcontractor proposals to ensure alignment with project requirements and standards.
* Negotiate contracts with suppliers in collaboration with the Project Manager and main office teams.
* Assess materials and their suitability for projects, verifying compliance with specifications.
* C coordinate material delivery to ensure timely arrival and quality standards are met.
* Oversight of logistics and import processes to facilitate smooth material flow.
* Monitor market trends, risk factors, and emerging opportunities to inform procurement strategies.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
* Minimum 4 years' experience in procurement, preferably in MEP contracting projects.
* Familiarity with UK procurement standards and supplier networks is advantageous.
* Proficiency in ERP software, such as SAP, and strong analytical skills.
* Excellent decision-making, negotiation, and communication skills.
* Proactive approach to problem-solving and relationship management.
* Effective stakeholder management and partnership building.
Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
