An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, experienced and enthusiastic Pharmacy Technician/Science Manufacturing Technician. The successful candidate will deputise for the Production Manager in being responsible for the day-to-day oversight of workload within our MHRA licensed chemotherapy manufacturing unit.

Our small, yet busy Pharmacy Production Unit provides an essential service to the patients within the Chesterfield Royal Hospital via both in-house manufacturing and outsourcing from external suppliers. The candidate appointed to this role will play a crucial part in ensuring that these patients receive the highest standard of care possible by participating in project work, operational duties, and assisting in the management of the Quality Management System.
Key result areas of the job include:
1. To deputise for the Production Manager when required.
2. Working alongside the Unit Co-ordinator to manage workload and appropriately distribute staff to ensure an efficient, high-quality service is provided.
3. Contribute to the maintenance and development of the Quality Management System (QMS), including participation in deviation, error, and change management.
4. To supervise and participate in aseptic manufacturing activities.
5. Ensuring all staff are aware of and adhering to SOPs at all times and complying with GMP and MHRA guidelines.
6. To ensure that all routine environmental monitoring and maintenance activities are carried out appropriately.
7. To participate in training of staff at all levels within the department.
8. To manage stock control systems within the department to ensure adequate stocks are maintained and be responsible for completion of stock takes and reconciliation.
