Role: Electrical Maintenance Engineer - 5 on 4 off, 5 on 4 off, 5 on 12 off (yes, 12 days off)
Salary: Circa £50,000 per annum + 8% pension (employee doesn't contribute, saving ££), annual bonus, Christmas vouchers, investment on training and more
Location: Commutable from Grimsby, Barton-upon-Humber, Brigg, Scunthorpe, Doncaster, Immingham, Market Rasen, Gainsborough and surrounding areas
Company: This is a very exciting position to work for a successful and heavy plant manufacturing company offering both challenging and rewarding careers for their large team of Maintenance Engineers. Due to a retirement and growth, they are now seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer with good experience across planned preventative maintenance, breakdowns, project work, and improvements. You will be working in their dedicated electrical team and be supported for a period of time by their existing electrical engineer prior to his retirement. There will be occasions when you will be the sole electrical engineer on shift and would encourage those who enjoy some degree of responsibility and recognition to apply. The team of engineers are loyal and supportive, with an annual spend on training - ensuring you are keeping up with every changing times and practices.
Responsibilities
Working on a shift covering days/night rotation of 5 on 4 off, 5 on 4 off, 5 on 12 off. Salary is Circa £50k per annum, plus 8% company pension contributions and employees don't contribute, saving you £2k - £3k per annum! Plus annual bonus, Christmas vouchers, annual training budget. Working as part of a team, the Electrical Shift Engineer provides planned and reactive maintenance for electrical systems across a large, automated manufacturing facility, ensuring all work is completed safely and in accordance with the EH&S guidelines. Work includes 3 phase systems, motors, VSDs, inverters, and fault-finding back to PLCs. As well as carrying out breakdown diagnostics through Root Cause Analysis to support the elimination and repeat of failures. Undertaking electrical equipment specific inspections as per the CMMS schedule, ensuring to maintain accurate and effective data across files & records, including the use of the CMMS systems. To ensure that onsite spares are kept to optimum levels and that stores processes are adhered.
Requirements
1. Electrically trained and qualified, ideally apprentice trained and holding a Level 3 minimum qualifications
2. Experience of maintenance in a similar production, manufacturing, or industrial environment
3. Familiar with Variable Speed Drives (VSD) and electrical components and drawings
4. Strong electrical fault finding and breakdown repair skills
5. Driven and hungry to be successful, to build a bright future in this large company
6. Able to prioritize workloads
