NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We currently have an 18.5 hour Band 8a clinical/counselling psychologist post available within West Dunbartonshire Adult Mental Health. Flexible working opportunities are available. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and innovative clinical/counselling psychologist to be part of a busy, cohesive psychology service within West Dunbartonshire. You will have responsibility for the delivery of specialist psychological assessment, including neuropsychological assessment, high intensity/ highly specialist individual and group therapies, and supervision of qualified staff, psychologists in training and multi-disciplinary staff delivering low intensity psychological interventions. The post will be 2 days within Riverview Adult Community Mental Health Team and a half day within the Primary Care Mental Health Team, affording lots of potential to pursue clinical and service development opportunities. You will be supported to pursue your own professional interests through continued professional development and be part of a supportive, professional network of psychologists working across North West Glasgow and West Dunbartonshire. Candidates will have a Doctoral level (or equivalent) professional qualification in Clinical Psychology and should be eligible for registration with the HCPC.
