Position Overview Ithaca Energy is accepting applications for the position of Naval Architect, located in our Aberdeen Office. The Naval Architect will support lead members of all three functions of Ithaca’s Marine Team namely, Hull Integrity, Marine Operations & Projects, and Marine Technical Assurance. Responsibilities Hull Integrity Take ownership and oversight of day-to-day activities for the planning and execution of hull integrity works on floating assets. Coordination of the development of inspection work packs and construction work packs in line with asset maintenance schedule Assist Lead Marine Integrity Engineer in assessing anomalies and vendor proposed repair plans Marine Operations & Projects Provide support to offshore personnel on Marine system queries, liaise with vendors for offshore visits and onshore work. Assist with SAP, Service order management and AFEs for projects. Assist in upkeep of Marine Maintenance Strategy for marine systems on floating assets Marine Technical Assurance Assist in updating Safety Case, Performance Standards and CMMS Update controlled documents and produce technical reports Review marine analysis such as mooring, air gap, stability etc. Qualifications & Experience Minimum BSc /B Eng. Naval Architect / Marine Technology preferred. Working towards Chartered engineer status. Ability to travel offshore. Proactive, team player and self-starter. Good organisational skills with focus on delivering assigned work in a timely and efficient manner. Open to cross learning from the three functional groups within the marine team and exposure to a diverse and challenging workload. Previous experience with Project or Operations experience either at Operator, Duty Holder or Consultancy organisation in Oil & Gas or Marine Industries. Familiarity with Class Rules for floating assets, relevant standards and UK HSEx Regulations, relevant Research Reports and Offshore Information Notices. Strong, positive safety leadership and team building skills with proven track record in delivering assigned tasks. Can develop and sustain collaborative relationships with assets and functional teams to share lessons learned, best practices and to generate improvement opportunities.
