Job Overview
We are looking for Rolling Stock Electrical Technicians to join one of our key rail clients based in Liverpool. The individual will be working with state-of-the-art trains and will be an integral part of the team.
This role has a salary of £56,000 pa (with shift allowance) rising to £59,600 pa (with shift allowance) after completing competencies. The role involves working shifts covering 24/7, including nights.
The ideal individual will have exposure to the Rolling Stock industry; however, candidates from other industries such as RAF, REME, Avionics, FMCG, Offshore, etc., will also be considered.
This is an Electrical bias role, and individuals must have high-level fault-finding capabilities.
Your Tasks
* Undertake fault finding and identify the associated repair required.
* Provide support across the business for all condition monitoring and manually monitored systems on the train and its interfaces.
* Provide assistance and technical feedback to the RAMS / Performance Engineer and depot production teams on technical incidents, including Line of Route Technicians as required.
* Perform functional system tests on mechanical, electrical, electronic, and software systems and perform specific measurements as prescribed/required.
Your Profile
* Essential: Served a recognised apprenticeship to minimum City and Guilds/ BTEC level with Mechanical / Electrical / electronic bias Level 3.
* Extensive professional engineering experience in maintenance.
* Knowledge and experience in modern technical systems and fault finding techniques, including conducting and leading complex root cause investigations and reading electrical/mechanical schematics competently.
* Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems.
