Job Title: M&E Project Manager

A leading M&E Contractor is currently looking for an M&E Project Manager to join their expanding team in Dartford, Kent.
The company delivers refurbishment and fit-out projects across the London and Home Counties area, providing mechanical and electrical services to a wide range of clients and businesses, such as Commercial offices, Hospitals, Schools, Laboratories, Retail, and High-End Residential buildings. These projects are typically valued from £200k to £2M.
As the M&E Project Manager, you will lead and oversee M&E projects from inception to completion and be responsible for ensuring the projects are completed according to schedule and budget, undertaking effective planning to make sure the projects completed are profitable.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all M&E building services and working practices, ensuring compliance with HSE policies.
2. Manage materials, subcontractors, installation, procurement, and drawing programmes to accord with installation and specification requirements.
3. Manage a detailed M&E building services programme to align with the main contractor's programme.
4. Manage project progress and track schedules.
5. Act as the spokesperson on M&E issues in site meetings.
6. Financial management of projects, including financial forecasting and labour forecasting.
7. Maintain close working relationships with clients, sub-contractors, and internal teams.
8. Ensure a smooth M&E handover to the client and provide aftercare support.
Qualifications and Experience:
1. Valid CSCS Card and SMSTS.
2. Time Served Apprentice or relevant Mechanical / Electrical qualifications.
3. Experience working on M&E projects with a strong focus on mechanical systems.
4. Experience of managing project value up to £2M (M&E) particularly education projects.
5. Overall knowledge and understanding of a wide variety of mechanical and electrical systems and their installation methods.
6. Consistently good financial returns on projects, considering all relevant factors.
7. Good people management and motivational skills.
8. The ability to work under pressure to meet set deadlines.
9. The ability to plan, co-ordinate and prioritise workloads.
