The Role
The Senior Product Manager for Core API will take over the team and drive the product roadmap needed to enable the kind of seamless integration for customers that will allow Gigs and our customers to scale sufficiently to unlock the next 100-250M$ in ARR.
To do so, this person must deeply understand the challenges of integrating a telecom offering into the customer's product offering and be able to identify and ruthlessly prioritize the highest impact improvements for Gigs’ and our customers. Configuring financial flows for regulatory compliance and correct accounting as well as optimal customer & user experience across geographies is a foundational part of the Gigs offering, and this role is central to building this into our products and APIs.
To be successful, you must be skilled at product discovery, designing APIs and great developer experiences, writing clear copy, communicating with customers as well as cross-functionally, managing projects, creating roadmaps, prioritizing, influencing executives, and understanding legal compliance as well as accounting requirements.
What you will do
* Build simple, lean, and effective APIs that help our customers solve for the most critical financial flows in collaboration with engineers, customers and the compliance and legal teams
* Evolve our Billing API to optimize developer experience and reduce time to launch for customers
* Make sure Gigs and our customers are compliant with financial, accounting and telecom taxation requirements
* Prioritize a roadmap of features, balancing short-term benefit and long term vision
* Build alignment with stakeholders on the path forward with regards to money
* Influence decisions higher up in the organizational structure and across teams
What we are looking for
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
* At least 6 years of experience in product management
* Excellent analytical, communication and problem-solving skills
* Hands on mentality: You take ownership and move projects forward while keeping everyone in the loop, over-communicating in a remote work environment
* Able to juggle many competing priorities at once without getting overwhelmed
* Excellent technical understanding, you have designed APIs and worked on complex integration projects before
* Empathy for our customers, accountants and engineers teams
* Fluency with data: You are familiar with data analytics tools and able to conduct your own analysis to prioritize features and show their impact
* You are able to quickly dive into the world of telecom and finance and understand your users and their needs well
* You enjoy working with cross-functional teams and managing complex projects
