Aspire People are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join a thriving primary school in Hounslow. The role is due to start in September with trial days taking place in the summer term. Earlier starts may be available for the right candidate.

Learning Support Assistant - responsibilities:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other support staff members to provide tailored support for students who need additional help in their learning. The role will best suit aspiring teachers and Educational Psychologists.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Assisting teachers in planning and delivering lessons to meet the diverse needs of students.
* Supporting children on a 1:1 or small group basis, helping them with their academic, social, and emotional development.
* Monitoring students' progress and helping them stay focused and engaged in their work.
* Providing additional support for children with special educational needs (SEN), including behavioural support.
* Supporting the classroom teacher in managing classroom behaviour and creating a positive learning environment.
* Helping with the preparation of resources and materials to enhance the learning experience.
* Encouraging independence and confidence in students while promoting their well-being.
Learning Support Assistant - requirements:
* Has experience working with SEN children, preferably in a school or educational setting.
* A recent UK graduate - a Psychology background is advantageous
* Patient, kind, and empathetic, with the ability to build strong relationships with children
* Demonstrates a passion for supporting children with a range of learning needs
* Able to work collaboratively as part of a team and is flexible in approach
* Excellent communication skills and is able to provide clear feedback to students and staff
* Experience in supporting students with special educational needs is desirable but not essential
