The role aims to support vulnerable young people living in independent accommodation and assists them with the challenges of life, building their confidence and resilience.

The Role:
As a Youth Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing support, mentorship, and advocacy to young people living in independent living environments. Your responsibilities will include:
* Developing and maintaining supportive relationships with young people, offering guidance and mentorship.
* Assisting in the development of life skills, such as budgeting, cooking, and personal care.
* Planning and facilitating group activities and workshops that promote social skills, community engagement, and personal development.
* Conducting regular check-ins and assessments to monitor the well-being and progress of the young people.
* Collaborating with other professionals and agencies to ensure a comprehensive support network.
* Providing crisis intervention and support as needed.
* Documenting and reporting on the progress and challenges of the young people under your care.
Requirements:
* Proven experience working with vulnerable young people, particularly in independent living settings is useful but not essential.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with young people.
* Knowledge of issues facing vulnerable young people, including mental health, substance abuse, and social disadvantage.
* Ability to work flexibly, full-time hours including on-call.
* A current driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
