Job Role: Project Controls Manager Salary: Up to £80,000 Benefits Location: Portsmouth (Hampshire) Thrilled to share that we are recruiting on behalf of our client who are a specialist Civil Engineering Contractor for a Project Controls Manager. Our client tackle challenging flood defence schemes along the UK's coastlines & rivers and maintain water sector infrastructure. This is for a complex project and will mean the Project Controls Manager will take control and responsibility for reporting the project financial performance, by challenging and supporting project management in tactical and operational decision making and ensuring compliance with the organisations Risk & internal Control Framework. The role will be predominantly based on site in our clients very high standard project offices near Havant, Hampshire, with the option to work from home on a hybrid basis. Job role and responsibilities: Acts as Financial business partner to the Project Director by providing financial insight and challenges to Project Management on the financial strategy. Works closely with the construction management and commercial/QS team, in cost estimating, programming, risk management, resource forecasting and change management. Monitors and reports on Financial Forecasts, scenario analysis and updates on Project progress and completion. Prepares and submits periodic financial reports and budget control reports. Ensures all financial & contractual aspects are implemented, monitored and validates contracts and agreements from a Financial perspective. Provides continuity between the cost control, planning/scheduling, and estimating functions and deliverables. Jointly responsible for the Cash Flow and Financial position of the project(min, most-likely and max), in accordance with contractual agreements and variations, taking appropriate actions where necessary. Serves as a point of contact for pricing, cost control, planning/scheduling and risk analysis. Qualifications and Experience required: Understanding of scheduling/programming, cost forecasting, dashboards and senior level reporting Practical experience of NEC3 / NEC4 contracts & practical experience of change management BIM and document management Knowledge of construction techniques in particular water projects Experience of large complex construction projects IT Microsoft Office skills -Outlook, Word, Excel, Business Collaborator Degree in Business, Finance/Accounting, Construction Management, Engineering or related field or Professional Accounting Qualification If you would like to learn more about this opportunity, please reach out to Charlie Knight Advance TRS.
