Job Title: Social Worker (Children)

Rate : £35 per hour
Liquid Personnel are looking for a practitioner who has experience of working in a children in care role to join Barnsley’s CIC Team.
Responsibilities:
As a Social Worker within the CIC team, you will work in partnership with children, young people, and their families/carers, building effective relationships to elicit their needs and views and promote participation in decision-making. You will communicate skillfully and confidently in complex or high-risk situations, understanding the benefits and limitations of partnership work. Your role will involve undertaking assessments in accordance with statutory, regulatory, and operational standards, anticipating, assessing, and managing risk to children and young people in more complex situations, and producing high-quality assessments. You will plan, implement, and review a range of interventions for children, young people, and families/carers, manage a complex workload independently, and establish a network of internal and external colleagues for advice and expertise. You will model and help others with effective workload management skills, make proactive use of supervision to support effective practice, reflection, and career development, and meet the objectives of Professional Development Reviews. Maintaining accurate, up-to-date records safely and confidentially in accordance with the Council’s policies and procedures, producing succinct, well-structured records and reports, and clearly recording and reporting analysis and judgments will be essential. You will proactively engage with colleagues and a range of organizations to identify, assess, plan for, and support the needs of children, young people, and families/carers to promote positive change and independence, demonstrating confident and effective judgment about risk to children and young people. Additionally, you will play a positive role in practice development within the team through mentoring and modeling good practice in assessment, interventions, inter-professional, and inter-agency work. You will meet the requirements of the Professional Capabilities Framework at the Experienced Social Worker level and maintain registration with the Health Care Professions Council in respect of practice standards, conduct, and professional development.
