What you'll be doing
As a Road Rail Vehicle Fitter, the successful candidate will:
* Work as part of the Plant Team to provide a safe and professional service to the customer and consistently work to the plan;
* Maintain Plant machines in accordance with rules & regulations, operational procedures and Health & Safety requirements;
* Undertake any necessary daily, weekly, monthly, 6 & 12 monthly maintenance of the machines as detailed in the maintenance manual;
* Undertake training as required to retain and obtain required competency levels to operate, maintain & repair machines up to and including a safety critical level;
* Be prepared to work unsociable hours (nights, weekends, bank holidays, Christmas and New Year) and lodge when workload requires;
* Be adaptable and flexible in approach to workload demand as required by customer’s workload.
Who we're looking for
The successful candidate will have the following qualities/experience:
* Meet medical standard NR/L2/OHS/00124;
* An NVQ level 3 (mechanical or electrical) or equivalent, with a minimum two years plant maintenance experience;
* Driving Licence;
* Excellent communication and people skills;
* An ability to apply and champion the company’s Health & Safety policy.
The following is desirable:
* Network Rail Personal Track Safety.
