Working: The role is office based with occasional travel to other company sites in the UK. Office site presence, anticipated 2/3 days onsite, depending on project needs.
The Power Electronics Engineer role is one that offers you the opportunity to work on sophisticated and technologically advanced projects, allowing you to improve your technical skills and broaden your leadership capabilities. It covers the Product Life Cycle from concept through to transfer to Production, including support to industrial validation and ensuring that the product meets its quality, rate and cost targets.
The Power Electronics team is responsible for circuit design, prototyping, testing and integration/design proving of hardware, datalink and communications systems, as well as providing embedded computing resources for larger Command and Control systems.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to still deliver a technical / Lead Engineer role but may also want to take their first steps up into a Team Leadership role.

Skills, Qualification and Experience
Ideally Degree/HND/HNC qualified plus significant experience in Electronic design, development & delivery
Experience in the Defence / Aerospace or safety regulated environment would be advantageous
Experience in leading significant electronic design work packages
Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team and understand the associated challenges
Excellent problem-solving skills and knowledge of electronic technologies
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated capability to effectively communicate with individuals from various departments. within the organisation
Experience of managing budgets and resources to ensure delivery on time, on cost
Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and negotiate with multiple stakeholders
