Job Title: Forensic Psychologist Band: Band 8A Location: London, Greater London Working Hours: 37.5 hours Rate: Competitive, to be discussed upon application An exciting opportunity has arisen for a HCPC Registered Forensic Psychologist or Clinical Psychologist with forensic experience to join our esteemed private client’s dynamic team in London, Greater London. This position is available for an immediate start on a short-term contract, offering competitive rates. Key Responsibilities: In this role, you will undertake specialist clinical duties contributing to the assessment and treatment of patients, providing psychological therapies for individuals with personality disorders, mental disorders, intellectual disabilities, and complex trauma. You will develop specialist psychological formulations and assessments, administer and interpret assessments of cognitive and emotional functioning, and assist the multi-disciplinary team in diagnosis and treatment planning. Additionally, you will plan, implement, and evaluate individual and group treatments based on appropriate theoretical and therapeutic models and best practice guidelines. Your responsibilities also include offering specialist advice, managing complex cases, conducting therapy sessions, reviewing patient cases, providing feedback, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care. You will engage in service evaluation, audit, and research to enhance the quality of care provided and provide clinical supervision and consultation as appropriate. Qualifications and Experience: Registered with the HCPC as a practitioner psychologist and preferably BPS Chartered. Experience of and/or an interest in rehabilitation and the recovery of patients in a forensic setting. Clinical supervision training. Training in two or more distinct psychological therapies. Skills in individual and group work and in program planning. Skills in the use of complex methods of psychological assessment to inform the psychological formulation and intervention. Well-developed skills in the ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, complex, highly technical, and/or clinically sensitive information.
