Our client is a water and civil engineering contractor with many years’ experience delivering world class projects across the UK and they are currently looking to recruit a Mechanical Pipe Fitter based in Peterborough, to be part of their installation teams working on the Anglian Water Framework AMP 7/8 Programme. This is a long-term opportunity – they are looking at a further 10 years of work, you will work across the greater Eastern Anglian Water Region. Responsibilities:
* Install mechanical equipment for water treatment works (Anglian water) to the company's standards.
* Work with and have input into risk assessments and method statements to ensure health and safety are always strictly adhered to.
* Ensure that you are following all company and client rules.
* Actively engage with management in the planning, organizing and delivery of work.
* Assist site teams with the requisitioning of materials and equipment promptly.
* Assist team leaders with day-to-day operations on site.
* Identify site issues and report to team leaders to ensure resolution.
* Deliver projects to water industry standards within the IOS Framework, on time and to budget.
Key measures & targets:
* As a Team and Individual our client is measured on their health & safety record, quality of installation and delivery on time.
* Planning and organising the correct materials and equipment to complete the work.
* Tidy and Organised Vehicle and Gang Kit.
* Your targets will be set during Personal Development Review meetings with your line manager.
* There are opportunities to further your career within the team, to achieve positions such as Supervisor and Site manager, with training provided by the company.
Requirements The successful candidate is likely to meet all the following criteria: Essential:
* Enthusiastic and ambitious personality
* Significant experience with a mechanical pipe fitting background and in pumps and pipe installations.
* Relevant CSCS card
* Safety Critical Medical
* First aid training
* Manual handling
* Water hygiene card
* Excellent communication skills
* Self-motivated team member
* Full UK Driving license
Desirable
* Pipefitting/welding experience
* SMSTS/SSSTS qualification
