An exciting opportunity has arose to join our busy Theatre Porter team. You will be liaising with the multidisciplinary team from a variety of specialities during elective and emergency service. You will have the opportunity to work across site, including the Main Hospital, Treatment Centre and the newly built Orthopaedic Theatres which are all on QHB site.
You will have good interpersonal skills, with the ability to work as part of a team in a demanding physical role. You will participate as a integral member of the Theatre and adhere to trust policies and procedures.
This role includes enhanced unsocial working rates across nights and weekends.
The job role will include participating in collection of patients from Surgical/Medical and Emergency wards, transporting patients, equipment, specimens and general support as required to Theatre teams, which will require physical action.
This position does involve shift work, which includes out of hours and weekends although flexible working may be available.
To unload HSSU truck and to put away/scan instruments in correct place
To facilitate the patients journey through theatres.
To transport essential and non-essential equipment, specimens and blood products around all 3 sites of QHB hospital
To support the daily waste management through out theatres.
