Role Profile This role will be responsible for providing a wide range of generalist Human Resources services to the Burnley facility. The HR Specialist will ensure a consistent and fair application to policies, procedures and practices. Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities HR Support: Provide support to the development and implementation of human resource initiatives to enhance organisational effectiveness Support the delivery of HR information that is critical to the management of the business ensuring that the data is accurate and delivered within a timely fashion Ensure that all new employees receive an induction and that their progress is monitored at the four, eight and twelve week intervals. Provide support to the site in relation to low level disciplinary and grievance issues Provide generalist support to the HR function during busy times Undertake the tracking and implementation of the employee performance review providing guidance to employees and leaders as and when required Maintain the Company communication plan within a timely and efficient manner Manage the relationship between the business and the Occupational Health Advisor and ensure that the weekly absence meeting is undertaken in the absence of the HR Director Provide on-site supervision of Reception as and when required Provide advice and counselling to employees and leaders regarding policies, procedures, practices or contractual issues Manage the issuing and re-ordering of Company provided workwear Raise purchase orders as and when required to do so for third party orders Recruitment: Working alongside the hiring manager, manage the recruitment needs of the business ensuring that each vacancy is advertised and the internal procedures are followed accordingly and filled succinctly. Recruit and manage temporary employees ensuring that relevant timesheets are completed and sent to the agency in the outlined timeframes Training: Support the launch and ongoing development of the E-Path tool for the Burnley facility Assume responsibility for the identification, booking and attendance to mandatory training courses (for example, First Aid courses, Fire Marshal Courses, Mandatory EHS Courses, Annual Refresher Courses etc.) Working alongside the HR Director, execute the Training budget to ensure that individual development plans are met Maintain effective relationships with external bodies, including industry bodies and training organisations and providers Working alongside the Business Improvement team, support the apprentices and apprenticeship scheme. On request, coach or mentor line managers on all aspect of people management Person Specification Previous HR generalist experience in a manufacturing environment Currently has or is working towards their CIPD qualification Strong organisational skills with the ability to handle a number of key issues at once Ability to use own initiative to drive actions through to completion Strong commitment to integrity and ensuring that processes, policies and subsequent actions are fair Effective communication skills with the ability to communicate to all levels within the organisation
