Contract Scotland is working with our civil engineering team as they look to add a Cost Manager to their expanding team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in guiding the commercial and financial outcome of the Scotland Region.
The role is predominantly based in their Kilsyth Office. However, you may be required to be project-based on occasion.
You should have experience using software solutions to support delivery, document control, reporting, and dashboarding - including PowerBi.
In this role, you will:
1. Be responsible for collating all relevant Project Data and producing Regional Management Reporting documents monthly, quarterly, and annually.
2. Monitor Divisional Company Tied Costs (CTC) and produce monthly CTC reports and Quarterly Forecasts, highlighting movements and trends against Budget.
3. Produce cost forecasts for regional offices to meet the Operational Plan.
4. Produce Monthly Cash Reports, monitor outstanding cash for Projects, and produce internal JV payment applications.
5. Train all new commercial assistants on in-house databases, SAP, MyTime, Assessed Cost Database, and Rental Results to ensure Regional Standards are upheld.
6. Process Regional Subcontract Payments, monitor all outstanding bought ledger invoices, and provide support to Projects with invoice clearance.
7. Produce monthly staff allocations via time management solutions to ensure accurate allocations are submitted to the group each month.
8. Deliver cost control presentations at Project Start Up, produce working estimates for newly awarded projects, and produce Regional Cost Journals.
9. Support project teams with required internal and external audit requirements.
10. Carry out effective Performance and Development Reviews - setting SMART departmental objectives for the team.
