Our organisation Windsor Women's Centre was established 30 years ago to provide a range of capacity building services for women and children in our locality. Through our Centre departments: Children’s Services, Education and Health, programmes are delivered.WWC is a lively centre with a variety of interesting programmes, service users and staff.We require a volunteer to cover the reception area at our main building, for minimum of 2-3 mornings per week, we can be flexible with your days. Volunteer expenses will be provided.The volunteer will be based in our busy reception answering phone calls, meeting & greeting service users from different backgrounds (elderly, BAME women, Key workers from Health & Social services, tutors and staff). The volunteer will be responsible for giving appropriate information to centre users and directing to them to relevant training courses, services etc. under the guidance of Heads of Departments.As outlined above our centre is a busy place with widely ranging groups and needs, therefore being flexible and prioritising what is required by service users and staff is a very important skill. Volunteers will also be required to heat children’s food and deliver to each childcare room.**Tasks and responsibilities*** Good oral & written communication skills (Emails, Memos, messages both in person and written. * Ability to answer telephone in professional and timely manner and assist service users efficiently.* Transfer calls to the correct department.
