To facilitate the expansion, we are adding members to our finance team based out of Antrim, Northern Ireland.
About the role
As an Accounts Assistant you will be supporting the Financial Controller and wider finance team, ensuring that all financial transactions are timely and accurately recorded. Bookkeeping is the foundation of our finance team, so you will play a key role in ensuring our systems are kept up to date and fully reconciled across our group of brands. We strive for real time information, so when trustworthy data is required in our decision-making processes, we aim to have it available.
You would be joining us to help grow our amazing group of brands, which will be made possible by the solid financial information you will help provide to the businesses, giving accuracy, visibility, trust & strategic direction to our senior lead teams, enabling informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Role Responsibilities:
* Daily bookkeeping and reconciliations – striving for accuracy with no backlog of transactions.
* Purchase Ledger – accurate coding and posting of purchase invoices, outbound payments, supplier account maintenance and AP account reconciliations.
* Sales Ledger – accurate coding and posting of sales invoices, incoming payouts, customer account maintenance and AR account reconciliations.
* Banking – accurate coding and posting of banking transactions, reconciling banks to the accounting systems, whilst understanding and communicating the underlying transactions.
* Payroll – assist in the preparation and posting of payroll information to the financial and banking systems.
* Review and improve financial processes and controls, encouraging automation efficiencies where possible.
* Input and support in preparation of financial information, such as cash flow reporting, financial models, budgets, forecasts etc.
* Input and support in financial performance analysis and recommendations.
* Uphold the company brand and the company values & behaviours.
* Respond quickly to internal requests, setting the standard for internal stakeholder management.
* Any other ADHOC administration duties as required by the company.
Candidate Profile:
* Has relevant experience in a similar role (minimum 5+ years).
* Advanced IT skills and experience of working with high volume data sets.
* Experience using ecommerce / finance / payroll software.
* Experience of working within a Retail, Marketplace or DTC/eCommerce business, desirable but not essential.
* Experience of working within a fast-growing environment, desirable but not essential.
* Holds or working towards accounting qualification, desirable but not essential.
