HR Project Officer - 2-year fixed term contract
Job Introduction
The West of England Mayoral Combined Authority (MCA) is seeking an organized, proactive, and people-focused HR Project Officer to join our HR & OD team and support the delivery of strategic HR projects across our organization.
In this role, you will work alongside the HR Project & Data Manager to coordinate and deliver various projects that impact how we support, grow, and develop our people.
Whether supporting new HR policies, analyzing workforce trends, or improving change management, you will play a key role in making our HR function more effective, efficient, and future-ready. You will also be involved in project governance, documentation, and communication, ensuring smooth and transparent operations.
This position offers an excellent opportunity for someone with project coordination experience and an interest in data and people practices to advance their career in a supportive public sector environment.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Project Delivery & Coordination
* Supporting the planning, delivery, and evaluation of HR projects, ensuring deadlines and outcomes are achieved.
* Managing project governance by tracking risks, issues, and milestones, and keeping stakeholders informed.
* Maintaining project plans, dashboards, and documentation for transparency and alignment.
Data & Reporting
* Collecting and analyzing HR data to provide insights on workforce trends such as turnover, recruitment, and performance.
* Creating clear reports and dashboards to support data-driven decisions.
* Ensuring data accuracy and compliance in reporting practices.
Process Improvement
* Assisting in designing and documenting HR policies, toolkits, and procedures.
* Identifying inefficiencies and proposing data-driven improvements to streamline HR workflows.
* Keeping all project resources and documentation up-to-date and accessible.
Stakeholder Engagement
* Acting as a key contact for HR project updates and queries.
* Coordinating meetings, workshops, and communications to keep teams engaged and aligned.
* Preparing briefings, presentations, and updates for internal stakeholders.
